Berlin Tour May 11, 1990

Departing from the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhopf, members of the 143rd Signal Battalion took the Duty Train to West Berlin, in what was then East Germany, the Deutsche Demokratik Republik [DDR], the German Democratic Republic.

We toured the city by bus, watched a changing of the guard, and visited the location of the The Berlin (Potsdam) Conference, July 17-August 2, 1945.  We got yelled at by the people in charge of the train on the way back.  They said they'd never had people as wild as we were.
